1. Seller

These terms apply to all orders placed through haukesteinbach.de. The contract language is English; German law applies.

2. How a contract comes about

Putting a product on this site is an invitation to order, not a binding offer. You place a binding order by completing the payment on Stripe's checkout page. The contract comes into being when we confirm your order by email — normally within minutes, automatically.

3. Prices and VAT

Prices are final prices in euros. No VAT is charged or shown, in accordance with § 19 UStG (German small business regulation).

Shipping is added at checkout and shown before you pay: 4,90 € within Germany, 9,90 € within the European Union.

4. Payment

Payment is handled by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. on their own hosted page. Card and account details are never transmitted to or stored by this site. Payment is due at the time of ordering.

5. Delivery

We ship within Germany and to the European Union. Hardware is built in monthly batches: one batch is produced each month and posted at the end of that month, so an order placed during a month goes out with that month’s batch. You are told by email on the day the parcel goes out.

If a batch is delayed you will be informed, and you may withdraw from the order at any point before dispatch for a full refund.

The goods remain our property until paid for in full.

6. Right of withdrawal

Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal of fourteen days. The full instructions, including the model form, are on the withdrawal page.

7. Warranty

Statutory warranty rights apply. If something is defective, write to mail@haukesteinbach.de and it will be repaired or replaced.

The device is powered over USB and connects to your own WiFi. It carries no warranty for suitability in any particular network; if it will not connect in your studio, the right of withdrawal above covers you.

8. The plugin

The RecLight plugin is supplied free of charge, for use with the hardware, and is not part of the purchase contract. It is provided as is, without warranty.

9. Dispute resolution

We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG). Writing to us directly is faster, and we would rather sort it out that way.

10. Invoices and records

An invoice is issued for every order and sent as a PDF with the order confirmation. Invoices are numbered sequentially and kept for the period required by German commercial and tax law.
