The live room

The room

A room that sounds
like a record

Acoustically treated, with an upright piano, a drum kit and vintage amps ready to go. Everything is set up and mic’d, so you spend your day playing instead of waiting.

48 preamp channels
Enough to track a full band live.
Headphone mixes
Individual, so everyone hears what they need.
Instruments on site
Upright piano, drums and vintage amps.
Treated live room
Acoustically controlled, not a dry box.

You work with me,
start to finish

I have been producing music for 13 years and I run this room myself. The person you talk to before the session is the person behind the desk during it, and the one who mixes it afterwards. Nothing gets handed over and explained twice.

Scope

Everything
from one hand

Recording

Full band, overdubs or a single vocal. Half or full days.

Production

Arrangement, additional instruments and programming where a song needs it.

Mix and master

Finished in the same room it was recorded in, on monitors I know.

Recording somewhere else and only need the mix? That works too. Send your stems and I take it from there.

Lounge and kitchen next to the recording studio in Hamburg
Lounge and kitchen, one door away from the live room

The unglamorous things
that make a session work

Freight elevator
No carrying flight cases and amps up the stairs.
Lounge and kitchen
Room to sit down, eat and get out of the studio for a minute.
Drinks included
Cold and hot drinks are on the house, all day.
